Moving heaven and earth
A marine company had a problem arranging delivery of a motor yacht’s new 30-foot tender. The tender was completing its sea trials in North America, while the host vessel lay off Portugal’s Atlantic coast.
We were contacted late on a Friday afternoon and the charter company needed us to arrange collection of the tender and transport it to the ship. Our US facility organised the collection then loaded it onto a special vessel. It then went to Liverpool where our UK office took over, transporting it overland to Cascais in Portugal.
On arrival, Connaught Air Services oversaw the local customs formalities, and with the help of our local representative, launched the tender and ensured it was delivered safely to the ship.
Logistics just got an upgrade!
